Ode to my best friend

This is to you, my best friend, my first love

For all the times you have stood by me and bared with me

For pulling me through the toughest of times

For making me calm only by looking into my eyes

For loving me even when I haven’t deserved it

For making me feel like I can do anything

For making me laugh like no one else and sharing your wonderful laugh with me

For knowing me better than I know myself

For being a part of me, for giving me a piece of you

For making me who I am,

They say “grandpa” was my first word

You are my everyday hero

I miss you

“I’ll be back tomorrow”

You were gone.

Like reaching for something that is just out of reach

Time is trying to steal my memories

Jack sweet old Mary had wooed
